Jessica Ennis is prepared for 150m test in Manchester

World heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis says she is looking forward to racing over 150m at the Manchester Great City Games on Sunday 16 May.

Briton Ennis will take on Olympic 400m champion and compatriot Christine Ohuruogu on a special laid track in Manchester city centre. "I've never competed over 150m before so it will be very different for me," said the 24-year-old.

The Games will also feature Tyson Gay, Alonso Edwards and Allyson Felix. Beijing gold medallist Ohuruogu came second in last year's inaugural Games, with Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt winning the men's event.

"The Great City Games was a brilliant event - a 150m track laid in the middle of the city," said Ohuruogu. "Despite the weather the atmosphere was great as the crowd really got into it."
